About

Emily is a PR consultant with a background in digital marketing and social media. Emily has worked on creative digital campaigns within the food, hospitality and tourism sectors, to drive revenue and raise brand awareness. With a degree in Journalism Studies, she has a passion for storytelling and enjoys collaborating with others to establish positive client relationships. Emily also has experience in event co-ordination, in both non-profit and commercial settings.

Biggest Influence

My biggest influence is probably my mum. She’s very hardworking and was great at helping me with my essays when I was at school and with my dissertation (she’s definitely a stern editor though!)

Career Highlight

In my previous job I got to help organise a fine dining fundraising event for the Leeds-based charity Candlelighters. It was a lot of prep, but a really good evening and I was able to meet and work alongside some fantastic people/businesses in the Yorkshire region. The event also raised £14,500 for Candlelighters which was great!

Favourite Place

Edinburgh is one of my favourite cities ever. So much to do and see, great cafes, pubs, book shops and parks. A perfect weekend away in the UK.

Alternative Career

If I didn’t work in PR, I’d love to open my own deli or coffee shop. I’m a big foodie and really liked the buzz of working in hospitality and chatting to customers on a busy shift at the restaurant I worked in when I was at uni. Plus, I’d like being in control of the playlist and come up with new speciality coffees!
