As a firm believer in giving back to the communities in which we operate, we are thrilled to be supporting North East Leeds Juniors Football Club as a team sponsor.

Aberfield sponsors Tigers football

The club is one of the biggest junior football clubs in Leeds, giving opportunities in grassroots football to almost 1,000 children aged from four to 18.

Aberfield’s sponsorship has provided full playing kit for the club’sunder 10s Tigers squad, who will be playing in the Garforth League for the first time next season.

Aberfield director Ian Briggs’s son, Elijah, is part of the Tigers squad. Ian has also taken a voluntary role as a coach for the Tigers after working towards an FA coaching qualification.

Greg Aizlewood, Assistant Club Secretary at North East Leeds Juniors Football Club, said: “As a grassroots football club run entirely by volunteers, we are reliant on the kind generosity of businesses such as Aberfield to enable us to help young people of all abilities develop their skills and enjoy their first taste of football.

“Aberfield’s ‘Positive Influence’ message is a great one to have on the Tigers shirts as this exactly matches the club’s approach to football and the role it can play in young peoples’ lives.

“We are hugely grateful to Aberfield for its sponsorship and the Tigers are excited to wear their new kit for the coming season!”

Ian added: “Having seen first hand the fantastic work North East Leeds Juniors Football Club does in the local area and the opportunities it provides, it was an easy decision to sponsor the Tigers team.

“We’re all looking forward to the coming season and I’m sure the new kit will make the players feel a million dollars. Up the Tigers!”
