Briggs strengthens commitment to Aberfield Communications following landmark year

We’re delighted to announce that director Ian Briggs has increased his shareholding in Aberfield Communications.
The move follows a period of sustained growth for us, now employing ten people and having secured a string of recent new business wins across our specialist areas of property and construction, corporate, food and drink, and travel and leisure.
Ian, who has been a director and shareholder in the business since 2020, has been instrumental in supporting Aberfield’s growth and success. His increased shareholding is a clear demonstration of his confidence in the business’ future and the strength of the partnership with fellow director and majority shareholder Tim Downs.
Aberfield has more than doubled turnover and profitability in the last three years, while investing significantly in staff training and retention. We are on track for a further year of growth in the current financial year following a recent string of new client wins including Moda Living, Powerleague, Mansfield Pollard, William Hare Group and Econ Engineering.
The positive working relationship between Ian and Tim has been a key driver of the agency’s recent achievements.
Aberfield was named Small Agency of the Year at this year’s PRCA DARE Awards for the North of England and North Wales region.
