Aberfield is hiring for a new PR Consultant

Following continued growth and new client wins at Aberfield, we’re on the hunt for a talented PR consultant to join our team in 2026. 

So, are you a PR professional looking to take the next steps in your career or a multi-skilled content professional (print, digital and video) keen to widen your knowledge and skills? If so, we’d would love to hear from you.

With established experience of at least one year in a relevant professional environment, you’ll be passionate about taking your career to the next level in a supportive, fun environment. We’re looking for people who are independent, organised, curious and commercially minded, who need to understand why we do what we do and how it positively impacts our clients before anything else.

You’ll join a growing team of 11 based in our Leeds office, working with fantastic national and global brands across a range of sectors including food and drink, culture and leisure, property and regeneration, and professional services. We’re a Prolific North Top 20 agency and the current PRCA Dare Awards small agency of the year.

Primarily focused corporate, B2B and B2C communications, our multi-award-winning work and reputation is based on our stand-out approach to PR, one that’s based on audience insight and on rigorous evaluation. We don’t measure reach, we measure engagement and influence.

The other thing that makes us different is that we have a flat structure that offers significant opportunities to get stuck into client work at all levels. This means from day one you get to meet the clients and practice PR, social, strategy, marketing and client servicing. Working with us means you get to see the tangible difference your work makes to our clients, their brands and the communities in which they operate.

Does this sound like you? 

  • You’ve a minimum of one to two years’ good experience under your belt, either in the publishing industry or PR and communications. 
  • You’ve achieved great results for your clients, organisation or your brand. 
  • You’re a people person, whether that’s interviewing someone for a feature or video, building relationships with senior clients or being a team player. 
  • You have a real interest in current affairs, are insatiably curious about how the world works and have opinions on what’s going on both locally and nationally. 
  • You’re a confident and accomplished writer, whatever the content.  
  • You potentially have experience in creating professional ‘social first’ video content that engages audiences and gets people talking. 
  • You’re creative but you also have great attention to detail.
