It’s May and the sun’s out in Leeds (or it was), which can only mean one thing: UKREiiF is here.

UKREiiF

Dubbed by some as the UK’s answer to MIPIM, this leading built environment conference is now in its third year. And for 2024 it’s bigger than ever.

In fact, with over 12,000 people descending on the city, and a programme filled with hundreds of events, there’s something for everyone. And the team here at Aberfield is getting in on the action.

Consultant Bec Lockwood has you covered if you’re looking for for some UKREiiF inspiration on what to attend thanks to the latest video she created for Instagram and Youtube Shorts.

Senior consultant Ben Ormsby will be wearing out his shoe leather attending the conference across all the three days (May 21 to 23). To arrange a time to catch up with him for a coffee and a chin wag drop him an email at ben.ormsby@aberfield.com.

Elsewhere, colleagues from across the team are supporting clients in a variety of ways.

Our Wellington Place team, who have already been busy this month with the launch of a new mini museum at the development, are supporting MEPC on a panel session it is sponsoring looking at how social impact is influencing placemaking strategies.

The Aire Park team will also be busy, working with our client Vastint UK on its fringe networking event at the recently reopened Tetley. With beers provided by Kirkstall Brewery, attendees at the late afternoon event will have the chance to compete in the Aire Park Grand Prix – a giant Scalextric course with prizes for the fastest times. The event has been designed to highlight Vastint UK’s ambitions for the mixed-use Aire Park development which when it completes will include the largest EV charging hub in Europe alongside the UK’s largest new green park, new homes, offices and retail space. Find out more information here.

We’re also hosting two fringe events alongside our partners, DS.Emotion, Ridge and Partners LLP, DLG Architects and Clarion Solicitors. Designed as an informal get together away from the main conference, we’re looking forward to catching up with colleagues, clients and contacts from across the property sector over a drink or a bacon butty or both. We may be biased but we think it’s the perfect amuse bouche before you move on to your evening dinner or morning of meetings and events.  If you’d like to join us on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning get in touch via events@aberfield.com.
