Aberfield appointed by nationwide placemaker Muse

Ben Ormsby, Senior Consultant
Leeds-based PR, social media and brand communications agency, Aberfield Communications, has been appointed by Muse to support its team across Yorkshire and the North East and with wider special projects.

It comes after a highly active period for the national placemaker which has seen significant project agreements signed across both regions, including a Joint Venture with Durham City Council, a pre-development agreement with Wakefield and saw its ECF partnership confirmed as the lead developer for Hull City Council’s ambitious East Bank Urban Village.
Aberfield’s role will be to continue to raise the profile of the Muse team and its work across these major regeneration projects that are transforming towns and cities across Yorkshire and the North East.
Aberfield will be delivering a range of services including PR, social media, content and blogs and event support. Muse joins Aberfield’s extensive property and construction client experience which includes the likes of Moda Living, Wellington Place (MEPC), Helmsley Group, Vastint UK and Aire Park, NG Bailey, Harris Architects, York Minster and York Central.
Charlotte Kennedy, Regional Marketing and Communications Manager at Muse said: “Aberfield has proven track record in property and the built environment across the North so was a natural fit to work with the team in Yorkshire and North East. Their understanding of the two regions and experience of complex urban regeneration schemes that span both public and private sector, means they understand our business and the impact that our projects deliver to people and communities.”
Erin Hobbs, Senior Consultant at Aberfield, said: “Muse are a business that we admire for the quality of the work they deliver and how they help to transform the communities they touch. That desire to be a catalyst for positive change is an ethos which is shared with Aberfield and why we are so happy to be working with the team. We’ve already been able to support with their presence at UKREiiF and across several of their schemes and we’re looking forward to developing and delivering a programme of work that helps to demonstrate the impact they are making across the two regions and beyond.”
The appointment is one of a string of recent new business wins for Aberfield which includes, Moda Living, Powerleague, Mansfield Pollard, William Hare Group and Econ Engineering.
