The Audience

As part of a wider national government campaign to help grow the UK economy, Superfast West Yorkshire asked us to create a marketing strategy toolkit that would communicate the economic and social benefits of rapid-speed internet, and encourage take-up among residents and businesses.

The Campaign

Working closely with the local authorities in Leeds, Calderdale, Bradford, Wakefield and Kirklees, as well as BT and Broadband UK, we completed a communications and social media audit for Superfast West Yorkshire, which allowed us to develop a marketing campaign for the SFWY team to implement.

After hosting a series of meetings and creative workshops with stakeholders, we used our specialist PR, marketing and digital expertise to create a marketing strategy toolkit, which contained key brand messages, brand tone of voice document, PR stories calendar, template press releases, social media guidelines, social media content calendar, collateral style guides and a website re-brand plan.

With a need to demonstrate the benefits of superfast internet to businesses and consumers, we were also tasked with creating a series of case study videos of businesses and families across West Yorkshire. The videos were published on SFWY’s website and social media channels, as well as being used in the Broadband UK national campaign.
