The York-based National Agri-Food Innovation Campus (NAFIC), a key UK centre for life sciences and bioeconomy businesses, has appointed Aberfield Communications to provide PR support as the site continues to grow.
Aberfield – named outstanding PR consultancy in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire CIPR Awards 2016-17 – will be working with the science campus, at Sand Hutton, to increase its profile and promote the growth of existing tenants, as well as its 250-seat conference centre.
Aberfield is also tasked with helping drive business space demand and will support NAFIC’s key stakeholder relationships in the region.
Covance, a global life sciences company, recently announced its move onto the campus, as it expands it biopharmaceutical chemistry, manufacturing and control capabilities. This follows a further two new tenants to the site, Symbiosis IP Ltd, a firm of patent attorneys specialising in the bioscience sector, and FPCR, a leading environmental and integrated design company.
NAFIC’s innovation campus manager, Liz Cashon, said: “Aberfield understands our complex audiences and how we want to be positioned as we grow. They’ll be helping us to engage with our stakeholders and promote the innovation that takes place here.”
Phil Reed, managing director at Aberfield, added: “NAFIC is such a unique campus, home to a wide range of private and public sector science-based organisations. We’re looking forward to increasing the profile of the campus and helping it develop relationships with key stakeholders, as well as supporting the fantastic work taking place on site.”
