Fancy joining the award-winning Aberfield team?

Posted on July 13, 2016 by

If you’ve a couple of years’ experience in public relations and your current role isn’t as satisfying or as challenging as you’d hoped, you’d be well advised to read on.

That’s because we’ve a cracking opportunity for a talented and ambitious Account Executive (or Senior Account Executive) to join Aberfield as a Consultant.

We’ve a great team that works with some fantastic, big-name clients and has been responsible for a host of great campaigns that have demonstrated true Positive Influence.

It’s no wonder we’re building a fantastic reputation. We’re in the Prolific North Top 50, client feedback has put us on the Recommended Agency Register and the creaking noise in the office is the sound of our awards shelf about to collapse under the weight!

We’re now looking for an energetic and hungry PR and social media operator to be a part of our exciting future.

You’ll be working with some high-profile brands, and you’ll also get the buzz of helping on fantastic new business briefs.

So what sort of person are we looking for?

As we said right at the top, someone with two or three years’ good PR experience. Ideally some of that time will have been in an agency environment, but if not you’ll clearly have the skills to adapt to the demands of agency life.

You’ll share our belief that PR should deliver much more than ‘awareness’, and for that reason you’ll have a natural aversion to AVEs and other pointless measurements.

We’re known for our creativity, so if you’re an ace at coming up with great ideas that deliver real results you’ll fit right in. But creative genius or not, you’ll certainly need to show you’ve excellent writing skills and attention to detail that borders on the obsessive.

Don’t bother telling us that you work well as part of a team but can also work on your own initiative – that’s a given. Tell us instead about your drive and ambition, because we want someone who’s keen to prove they can make a difference to our clients and to Aberfield.

What do you get in return?

First and foremost, a chance to develop your career at one of the fastest-growing PR agencies in the North. How quickly, and how high, your career progresses will be down to you – there’s no barrier.

Benefits include a competitive salary and a very attractive bonus scheme linked to the company’s performance. And your annual holiday entitlement includes a day off on your birthday.

Our office is in a great location on The Calls in the centre of Leeds, so we’ve the city’s best bars, restaurants and shops on our doorstep. Just in case that’s of interest!

To apply or to discuss it further (in complete confidence), please email Phil Reed or Tim Downs or call one of them on 0113 8800 444.
