A ‘Magical’ win for Aberfield
Another great week at Aberfield ends with the news that we’ve been appointed to deliver Magical Leeds’ integrated winter visitor campaign.
The primary funding for this year’s Magical Leeds marketing campaign is provided by Leeds Business Improvement District (Leeds BID), supported by Leeds City Council, VisitLeeds as a destination partner, and Trinity Leeds as the Gold partner, along with critical in-kind support from a range of Leeds visitor economy stakeholder organisations.
Part of a wider three-year strategy, Magical Leeds aims to raise the profile of the city, increase visitor numbers and encourage overnight stays, by showcasing all that is uniquely different in Leeds as a destination.
This year’s fully-integrated national and regional campaign will include advertising, public relations activity and social media, to promote Leeds’ visitor offering over the winter 2015-16 period.
Aberfield will be the lead agency for the campaign, with strategic media planning and buying delivered by Alchemy Media.
We also recently won a PR project from VisitLeeds to promote Leeds as one of the Host Cities for Rugby World Cup 2015.
Andrew Cooper, Chief Executive of the Leeds Business Improvement District, said: “Aberfield’s tourism experience and audience insight will be key to this campaign. They also bring a strategic and innovative approach which includes some big PR ideas to effectively target Leeds’ core audiences.”
