Image of the week – Boston Public Garden

Posted on August 15, 2014 by

It’s been a sad week for many following the death of Hollywood legend Robin Williams on Tuesday.

Images of memorable moments from his films have been shared across online and traditional media and people displayed their tributes and obituaries. We’ve seen classic Mrs Doubtfire clips shared, photos of the Genie in Aladdin and even a tattoo of him in Flubber inked on the thigh of a life-long fan.

Many photos were shared, but one really stuck out for me. A photo of the bench in Boston where Williams filmed one of the key scenes in Good Will Hunting really got me thinking about how much he was loved and respected.

Fans laid flowers, photos and gifts on the bench and painted quotes from the film on the pavement in front of it. It was a way for them to commemorate his death while celebrating his life and what was a defining moment in his career.

For those who haven’t seen the clip of Williams and Matt Damon on the bench in the film, here you go.
