Week ahead, 23 – 27 September

Posted on September 23, 2013 by

With a week of book, CD and mobile phone launches, there’s a lot to look out for. Use our handy PR guide for the full list of events.

Monday 23 – For hardcore Nirvana fans, it’s the re-release of cult album ‘In Utero’ to mark the 25th anniversary. I wonder how many will actually buy it again?

The Labour Party’s Annual Conference continues until Wednesday.

Tuesday 24 – Stephen King’s sequel to The Shining, ‘Doctor Sleep’, is finally published…only 36 years after the original.

Wednesday 25 – Firefighters in England and Wales will hold a four-hour strike over pensions and Nokia Lumia 1020 is released in the UK.

Thursday 26 – The latest James Bond novel, ‘Solo’, hits bookstores. For those who want the full Bond experience, readings of the book will take place at the Park Lane Hotel in London.

It is also National Book Week so choose one of the above new books and take part yourself.
