PR events diary, 19 – 23 August

Posted on August 19, 2013 by

Monday 19 - This year’s series of Big Brother FINALLY comes to a close on Channel 5 (if anyone’s actually been watching it). Sam is the bookies favourite but given this season’s ‘lies and secrets’ theme, anything could happen.

Tickets go on sale for next year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Tuesday 20 – Great British Bake Off returns to BBC Two for its fourth season. If your office is full of foodies like ours, you’ll be counting down the hours.

Thursday 22 – GCSE results day. Cue the classic exam results day pose.

Friday 23 – Bank Holiday Weekend.

Leeds and Reading Festival open. Eminem, Biffy Clyro and Green Day are among the acts to perform.

The UK’s GDP for the second quarter is published. The gross domestic product measures the country’s total output and its growth rate. Don’t worry, I didn’t know what GDP was either…

This week is also Learning Disabilities Week, with charity events taking place across the UK.
