Week ahead, 12 – 18 August

Posted on August 12, 2013 by

Tuesday 13Doctor Who series one and two soundtrack is released on vinyl. The double LP, which features a gatefold sleeve, includes original music by Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy. Don’t all rush at once to get copies!

Wednesday 14 – Prince William makes his second public appearance since the birth of the royal heir. He’ll attend the Anglesey show to celebrate rural and farming life in Wales. Possibly the world’s worst excuse to spend time away from the new baby.

Thursday 15 – Kings of Leon headline the first day of Glasgow Summer Sessions festival. Other artists to perform include Eminem, Avicii and Tinie Tempah.

A level results day. Good luck to all those awaiting results!

Friday 16 – Rewind 80s festival opens in Henley. This year’s line-up features appearances from the best of the decade: Kim Wilde, B-52s, Billy Ocean, Heaven 17, Pointer Sisters and Go West.

Saturday 17British football premier league 2013 / 2014 season begins. Cue angry girlfriends across the UK.

This week is also Brain Injury Awareness Week. The Brain Foundation will encourage people to ‘Bang on a Beanie’ to raise awareness of the cause.
